Thirteen things I would rather be doing today (instead of working)

Thursday Thirteen #14

Today is a beautiful fall day, and here are thirteen things I would love to be doing instead of sitting in a cubicle.

  1. Planting spring bulbs. I have tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths that I need to plant, and this is the perfect type of day to spend doing so.
  2. Decorating my front porch. I want to get some corn stalks and another pumpkin or two to create a festive home.
  3. Training my puppies on the boundaries of our new invisible wireless fence.
  4. Going to the park for a relaxing walk or bike ride.
  5. Going to the dog park to let the hounds run like wild.
  6. Baking anything with apples or pumpkins. I don’t even like pumpkin that much, but I have this strange urge to make a pumpkin pie from scratch.
  7. Painting my bathroom. It may not be fun, but it needs to be done, especially now that I have the perfect color, “Bon Voyage,” that matches my “Poire” and “Pomme” paintings.
  8. Reading a good book while basking in the crisp weather.
  9. Running errands. I am weird, but I usually enjoy running errands, especially on a nice day.
  10. Scrapbooking. I am over a year behind in my scrapbook, and I need to catch up!
  11. Taking a nice nap with the windows open.
  12. Pumpkin picking. I am obsessed with picking fresh produce, and pumpkins are no exception. I bet the patches would be dead on a weekday!
  13. Anything but sitting in a cubicle.. I guess today is just one of those days. :)

This blog is mostly about my life as a young wife.  My husband and I were married in September of 2007 and since then we've moved into our first home and adopted two wild puppies.
