THURSDAY THIRTEEN - Thirteen things I want to do this summer:
1) Go to Chicago
2) Potty train the puppies and get them to behave!
3) Get a nice tan. I know it's not good for you, but it's so nice to be golden. :)
4) Visit Bryan's cottage and go out on their boat a lot, since we did not get the chance to do so very much last year.
5) Start running, working out, ANYTHING. I need to get in better shape - compared to last year I am pretty pathetic right now, and last year wasn't even that great.
6) Go up north to Mackinac Island and Traverse City to finally use the gift certificate from my old boss.
7) Bike around Mackinac Island (9 miles). I think number 5 will come into play here...
8) Not be addicted to ice cream and sweets. Okay, I do not know if this one is possible but I do know that I need to lay off on the ice cream. The problem is it's just soo delicious in the summer... :)
9) Get up early in the morning to walk the puppies. I am not a morning person and I get up at the last possible minute, so this will be a challenge but I think it'd be good for both me and the pups.
10) Scrapbook a lot with Laura. I have been a slacker lately. I went over to her house last night and she's made wonderful progress. I need to catch up!!! We already have a date set for Tuesday, so that's going to be great!
11) Have Grace and Elise over for a sleep over. We were going to try to do so this weekend, but I guess seven-year-old schedules are pretty busy since Elise always seems to have something going on!
12) Go on one more weekend trip in addition to Mackinac and Chicago - place T.B.D. but most-likely somewhere local. Or we have Leila and Jerome to visit in Charlotte, or Julia in Cincinnati/Kentucky...
13) Make a nice (healthy, wholesome) dinner most nights of the week. Now that we're done working on the house for a while I think that this will be easier to do. I have been slacking pretty bad lately. Either we're not eating very healthy or we're eating out. It's not good and I would like it to change.
