baby talk

by Wife 14. May 2008 03:36

It's getting a little ridiculous, all this baby talk.  Not by me and Bryan, no.  By family members -  More specifically, aunts.  My mom doesn't really mention it.  Bryan's mom and sister do, but I will let that slide for now...

My aunts, though, are crazy.  Saturday Katie and I are over at Becky's for Elise's birthday and Becky's talking to me, Katie, and Elise's grandma about how I am all done with college and married, etc. and now Katie is done with college and off to law school in the fall and we're all growing up.  Becky (mom's sister) then proceeds to say that now it's time to have a little baby, because they're all ready for it.  And we just need to get Bryan on board.  Bryan!  What about me, the person who will be carrying this baby!!?  I think I need to be fully on board as well.  Unfortunately people don't seem to understand that.  Anyways, there was no need for Becky to mention that.  Oh well..

And then on Sunday, at my parent's house for Mother's Day, my aunt Kelly (dad's sister) tells me that she has a beautiful bassinet/cradle and high chair for me.  Wait a second - isn't she jumping a head a little bit?  Don't you need plans to have a child before getting offers for this sort of thing?  Apparently not...  She's storing them in her basement for us.

It's just a little intense.
